ONE - OCEAN NETWORK EXPRESS at MONTECON

ONE - OCEAN NETWORK EXPRESS is the name given to the union of Japanese origin lines NYK (NIPPON YUSEN KAISHA)

ONE - OCEAN NETWORK EXPRESS is the name given to the union of the lines of Japanese origin NYK (NIPPON YUSEN KAISHA), MOL (MITSUI OSAKA LINE ) and K-LINE (KAWASAKI KISEN KAISHA ) and that promote ONE as one of the most important shipping companies worldwide. On Friday 02 March we received the first container of this new line in the port of Montevideo and as it could not be otherwise was in MONTECON. With its characteristic "magenta" color this unit was the first to be unloaded in our terminal and that is why our homage and photo in particular.

For the curious, the magenta color of its containers is due to the mixture of the colors of the lines that make up the consortium and this is one of the possibilities that are handled as it came to that color or is the color or one of the colors of the Japanese flower "Sakura" (cherry blossom) symbol of prosperity, rebirth, life. Whichever of the two stories is correct and true, it is an honour and a joy to receive ONE in mONtEcon... So

Montevideo e YOUKOSO(モンテビデオへ ようこそ)= Welcome to Montevideo
