Currently in Montecon we are providing support at the level of Port Operations to Projects that mainly attend to the restructuring of the country's energy matrix.
In particular we refer to the Regasification Terminal (Gas Natural Licuado del Sur), Villa Rodríguez, 18 de Julio and María Luz Wind Farms, and the Punta del Tigre Cycle-Combined Power Plant, having recently finished Talas de Maciel I Wind Farm. Today Montecon develops 97% of the General Cargo and Project Ship Operations, standing out as the main Operator of this segment in public areas. This segment is complementary to our main activity in Container Operations, being the Operator par excellence in public Port, and obtaining a market share in the Port of Montevideo close to 50%.

The incentives communicated by Julio Branda, Commercial Manager of the company, will come into effect from October 1st. With the aim of boosting the competitiveness of the export sector, Montecon defined a series of initiatives that seek to further enhance foreign trade and the development of the local economy.
