On December 16, Gottwald formally handed over its new Post-Panamax earthmoving crane model HMK6407 to Montecon
On December 16, 2010, Montecon formally received a new dock crane. With this new and extra equipment, the terminal will have 6 units with which it will be able to continue loading and unloading containers and general cargo in all types of vessels operating in the region. This new crane was built in Germany by the recognized manufacturer Gottwald and it is the model HMK 6407 with special modifications carried out for Montecon?s operation. The market growth comes from the hand of bigger ships and capacity that demand more and more demanding services for the port, with this, Montecon will consolidate its leadership in terms of efficiency and will maintain its leadership in productivity and attention to the local and international shipping clients that historically have trusted its production and professionalism.This important step reinforces Montecon's commitment with its clients and the Port of Montevideo, and is another example of service guarantee and sustainability in the long term.
