At the beginning of February, Montecon received 15 Kalmar Ottawa Terminal Tractor units, 4x2 Off-Road, an excellent news in terms of the management of our Terminal, which involves making the complete circuit of the operational gear of the ships. Today the equipment and the work team linked to the process, are part of the company.
The arrival of the equipment means the creation of 33 new jobs, and the integration of more women to Montecon's Operations staff, a project in progress in several sectors of the organization that has yielded very positive results.the Terminal Tractors are equipment specially designed for the transport of containers at speeds and in reduced spaces, typical of the port activity. They will be used for ship operations in Montecon, that is to say, for loading and unloading containers, transporting the containers unloaded from a ship to the designated stowage for their storage or the containers to be loaded from the stowage to the ship.
HMM America Shipping Agency Inc. chose Montecon as port operator together with the agency Brings Uruguay, prioritising the level of service offered and the quality of attention to the shipowner that for more than two decades has been offered to its clients.
